HDPE Pipework PDF Print E-mail

Lining technology is heavily experienced in the welding and installation of HDPE pipework for landfill applications.

Welding and installation of pipework is carried out by certified personnel by butt fusion and electrofusion welding techniques, with pipework ranging in size from 20mm to 610mm. All pipework is tested to the required standard under a positive pressure prior to installation and comissioning. HDPE pipework applications include

Applications:

•    Gas collection pipework - Solid HDPE pipework is used to draw methane gas under a negative pressure from manifolds to a flare where the gas is burned to atmosphere.

•    Gas extraction pipework - Slooted HDPE pipework is used to extract gas from beneath engineered capping systems

•    Leachate rising mains - Solid HDPE pipework is used to pump leachate from the base of landfill cells and from pumped Knock out pots to leachate treatent plants.

•    Leachate redistribution pipework - Slotted HDPE pipework is used to convey leachate back into the capped cells in order to improve the quality of the gas being produced by the waste.

•    Air line suply - Solid HDPE pipework is used to convey an air supply fro a compressor to pneumatic pumps contained within pumped Knock out pots

•    HDPE watermains - Solid HDPE pipework is used to provide a water supply at self draining Knock out pots to maintain the liquid level in the pot and prevent the Knock out pot from drawing air.

Various types of flexi couplers, non return valves, stop valves, safi valves, regulation valves, etc. can be used with HDPE pipework depending on the size and application of the pipework.
