Barry Griffin is the founder and owner of Agru Ireland Ltd., now one of Ireland's leading Civil and Environmental Engineering companies. Agru Ireland Ltd has worked for many Clients including public bodies and private sector companies.  Barry is responsible for ensuring the successful completion of projects to the Clients satisfaction. Prior to founding Agru Ireland Ltd Barry had extensive experience working in the UK landfill engineering sector.

   Colin Griffin - Installation Manager

Colin Griffin has over 15 years experience working directly with landfill lining and capping systems. Colin is responsible for planning and performance of installations, technical assistance and control of the site equipment. Colin trained in Germany and the UK and together with Barry has successfully managed the installation of multilayer capping systems including the earthworks, gas wells and pipelines and connecting to the existing liner systems in numerous projects in the UK & Ireland.

Louisa joined Agru Ireland Ltd. in 2002 to assist with the company's transition to the main contracting arena. Louisa, a Chartered Engineer for more than 17 years, has brought her experience supervising more than EUR100M of construction works and contract administration to the company. She is currently responsible for tender preparation, contract management, quality system, health & safety system and geotechnical design and support for Agru Ireland.

Jamie O'Shea - Construction Manager, BEng (hons) Civil Engineering MIEI MCIOB

 Jamie, a qualified Civil Engineer and Chartered Builder, joined Agru Ireland in 2008 to assist in managing the company’s main contracting workload. He has project managed construction contracts in the UK & Ireland during the past 15 years with a combined value above EUR100M.  He has a wealth of experience in construction including commercial, residential, retail, hotel, leisure, education, healthcare and agricultural developments.  Jamie is a member of Institute of Engineers of Ireland (MIEI) and a Member of the Chartered Institute of Building (MCIOB).

Colm Byrne - Project Engineer, BEng (hons) in Civil Engineering

Colm graduated from the University of Edinborough in 2005. He joined Agru Ireland in 2006 and is responsible for supervising landfill and gas management main contracts and subcontracts.  As a keen footballer he was a cup winner on numerous occasions with Ferrybank A.F.C. 

Sheila Coppinger - Accounts Manager

Sheila joined the company in 2003 as Accounts Manager and is responsible for all company accounting activities and finance operations. In her free time she travels with her family and plays tennis.

In 2008 Paul Murtagh and Barry Griffin set up GWC Ltd specialising in the supply and installation of radon barriers, attenuation tanks and groundwater control membranes for the domestic and commercial markets.
